Worked example: 20m² of fence, two coats
Twenty square metres of fencing with two coats means 40m² of coverage — one 9L tub does the lot for about £19.95, beating two 5L tins. Add the 10% wastage toggle if your panels are very rough or you are spraying, which always uses more.
Bare or rough-sawn timber: two coats — the first soaks in and all but disappears. Previously painted wood in good condition: one maintenance coat. Switch the coats toggle and watch the tins and price update.
